To Apple or Not To Apple

I think about things that I would like to comment/write on when I'm out and about daily, but haven't meandered to my blog in awhile, as you can see.  I don't even know if anyone would read my comments/thoughts, but it's still worth it to write them, right?  Or is it?  I sometimes feel like me writing a blog is like me saying "Hey everybody! Hear what I have to say because it is so important! I'm important!"  But really, it's kind of like those writing assignments in grade school.  I remember my teacher designating a certain amount of time where we would have to sit at our desks and just....write.  Sometimes with no topic to start.  I remember complaining that I couldn't think of anything.  Her advice?  Just start writing.  Umm.....okay.....  But now I get it.  So I'm trying to envision the blogging thing as a positive way to get you to think about things, a great way to exercise transferring thoughts into words, and great practice at composing thoughtful and meaningful text (although I am prone to add excessive unnecessary detail, just ask my mother) that flows in a logical manner.   Unfortunately, I have no words of wisdom or burning thoughts in my head at this moment in time.  So why did I write this post?  I'm taking the advice of my teacher - just start writing.
On another front, I've recently made the switch to an Apple computer.  We had an Apple waaayyyy back in the day - an Apple IIGS.  Remember those?  Then we went PC and didn't look back.  Now Apple is the "cool" product, so my husband purchased one for the family under the guise of my birthday present.  I was extremely frustrated at first, and still get that way when commands that I have been using for so long on Windows render themselves useless on the Apple.  It's a learning curve, but frankly, I wasn't sure I had time for it.  I am coming around to it, though.
